Dewalt D27107 305mm Combination Saw

The Dewalt D27107 combination saw is of the "TGS" style, being a portable saw that is both a mitre saw as well as a bench saw.

This model is right up to date with leading design features and specifications that are to be expected with perhaps the worlds most well known power tool manufacturer.

The Dewalt D27107 flip saw employs built in electronics providing overload protection and a constant cutting speed giving optimal cutting performance. It is powered by an industrial 2000 watt electric motor that powers its cutting blade at speeds up to 4000rpm. If the 110v version is chosen the motor is slightly lower rated at 1730w.

Large cuts in hard and soft woods are not a problem with the standard 305mm blade fitted. This gives this Dewalt Flip Over Saw a cutting capacity of up to 155mm. This is when the saw is used in mitre or chop saw configuration.

When flipped over into saw bench mode the D27105 can achieve a massive 81mm maximum depth of cut when set at 90 degrees.

As with all elu and Dewalt flip combination saws this model breaks down for easy transportation. The four legs fitted being easily removed with just one retaining knob at each corner of its frame. A new feature on this particular model is the inclusion of transporation wheels. These give this portable saw a wheel barrow type mode making it easy to move around the work site or to a waiting vehicle.

The bevel and mitre adjustments have been totally changed over previous models such as the TGS171, 172, and 173. They have been altered to give greater accuracy and a more simple adjustment method.

As with all Dewalt Power Tools this particular model is tough, robust, and made to a very high standard for the professional tradesman.

The new Dewalt DW743 flip saw features a powerful high output electric induction motor that produces very high levels of cutting torque. Being brushless this motor is designed to give years of service and in particular is very quiet running. This makes it ideal for workshop and site use where low noise characteristics are required.

The majority of the components on the DW743N are of metal construction including the supporting legs, side frames, and the saw table bed itself. Even the saw blade guards on the DW743 are made of metal. All this amounts up to it being a very tough saw that can cope with heavy work use indoors or out.

Being probably the most versatile saw in the Dewalt Tool range the DW743 can handle a large range of cutting angles and profiles. With a 250mm TCT blade fitted as standard equipment it can cut up to 70mm depth in one pass when in bench mode. When used as a mitre saw this model can handle almost every angle a joiner or builder would need. It can adjust to a bevel capacity of 45 degrees left and right with a mitre capacity the same.

To aid portability the saw has integrated carry handles. The legs also remove being clamped in place with a screw adjuster on each corner of the flip saw itself.

As with all power tools manufactured by Dewalt the DW743N is not the "cheapest woodworking saw" you can buy, but does represent excellent value for money for what you get!
